So, what has changed since Owens last month-day 🙂
He still has 2 teeth.
He still drinks 6 oz bottles at a time…
He is TALL.. not sure exactly HOW tall, but hes now in 12 mo sleepers.
He also weighs 23lbs last I checked 🙂
He wears most 12-24 month shirts, onesies and pants.
The pants vary on how elastic they are in the waist. Any mom who uses cloth diapers will vouch for how hard it is to find pants to fit a baby his age wearing cloth diapers. His butt is probably twice the size as it would be if he wore disposables. They dont call cloth diapered babies “fluffy” for no reason 🙂
Owen is also still in size 3 disposables.
and in his bumgenius diapers hes moved up to the final snap. I remember by this point Taite was still in the 2nd snap size, but Owen is much wider than him. I am expecting the size to slow down soon 🙂 once he becomes mobile, and his cloth should fit him through age 2 easily.
Owen eats 3 times a day, sometimes a snack, if we are eating a snack 🙂
He can chew well and lately Ive just been squishing up what we eat for him.
I am careful not to give him anything with peanuts or to much egg in it… but so far I dont think he has any allergies at all.
But I am still cautious.
Owen is ALMOST CRAWLING… he gets up on his knees and rocks back and forth.
He wants so badly to become mobile.
It really is a blessing for me though that he isnt yet 🙂
Because once that day comes, my days are going to get a lot busier!
Owen can move around our house really well in his walker! He has figured out how to step with that, frontwards and backwards.
Owen also scoots backwards by pushing himself with his arms.
He sits up unassisted. Hes still kinda tipsy tho so we have to be careful.
He still refuses the pacifier… although some days I can wear him, he will use it some, but its mostly just to chew on. We have learned he would just prefer a bottle of water or his blanket.
Owen will be moving up into his new MyRide Carseat this weekend. I was going to hold off putting him in it, but after being informed about his weight being past the weight limit for his infant seat, I figure its best to just move him. I will try to post pictures of him in it soon 🙂
Owen also has gotten more vocal.
Saying “da da da da” “ba ba ba ba” and I even heard him say “ma ma” a few times 🙂
Hes so incredibly sweet!
AMAZINGLY EASY!! Seriously, the easiest baby we’ve ever had. I think? Or maybe im just use to boys by now, that he seems super easy.
I really feel like the adjustment to 3 children has been a breeze. Despite the 1st few months being hard, due to lack of sleep… now that Owen is sleeping well (for the most part), we really have had no trouble adjusting to an extra little one in the house. Makes us wonder what it be like with 4, 😉 – don’t worry, we wont be attempting to have any more until Owen is at least 1. Or 2. 😉 or 3, only the Lord knows!
We love you Owen!
