Inch Worms

We were practicing our vowels today and heard the word “inch worm” – Caleb was confused why it wasnt called a caterpillar, since thats what it looked like to him. So from that small vowel lesson it led into a discussion about bugs and different names 🙂

So we then went to youtube and he got to see what an inch worm did that was so fun and unique.

The wonderful part of homeschooling. You have the freedom to go with it like that, and they get so excited about learning when they are free to ask questions. 🙂

awesome! child-led learning! I doubt the teacher in a public school would have gone to the trouble to explain, or even encourage him to find out for himself.

WHAT a GREAT teacher you are! Your boys are blessed to have you take extra time to answer their questions and give them further explanations. Here’s to LOTS more learning in the Woods home as you enjoy your subjects together!!
    Blessings dear girl!!
